OVERVIEW
Crib Lighting is a smart-lighting Android app that controls connected fixtures over MQTT and discovers them on the local network with mDNS. Designed for instant control with zero cloud round-trips.

OBJECTIVE
Deliver light-switch-fast control by speaking to fixtures directly on the local network, while still allowing optional remote control when needed.
APPROACH
Persistent MQTT client over the local broker, mDNS discovery for fixtures appearing and disappearing on the network, and coroutine-based event flows for instant UI response.
