Kserialport is an open-source Android library that exposes serial-port (USB, RS-232) communication through a clean Kotlin API. It powers companion apps that talk to industrial and consumer hardware over physical serial connections.
Stack:
Give Android developers a Kotlin-first, well-documented serial-port library that handles USB-to-serial chips, hot-plugging and high-throughput data — without forcing them to drop to C/JNI themselves.

Built on Android’s USB Host API with a thin JNI layer over libserial for low-level serial operations. Cleanly typed Kotlin coroutine streams surface read/write; ProGuard-friendly; published as an AAR via JitPack and Maven.
Used in production Android projects at Cratus and adopted by other developers needing reliable serial communication on Android. Source on GitHub.
